On October 10th, 2025 the 'Archaeological Methods and Theory' commission organized an inter-congress colloquium at the Institute of Human Palaeontology, Paris, under the theme 'Historiography and epistemology of researchers at the National Museum of Natural History of Paris since Buffon: From the origin of species to the origin of Hominids'.
